Product Line — SDT / CVT Static Control
The floor with an electrical job.
In imaging suites, operating rooms, laboratories and electronics environments, static charge is an equipment problem before it is a comfort problem. Electrotile static dissipative (SDT) and conductive (CVT) tiles carry charge safely to ground — on a solid vinyl body built for the traffic, scrubbing and point loads of a working floor.
Server racks on every side and a circuit pattern cut into the field — in rooms like this, the floor is part of the grounding plan.
01 — Formats & Palette
Three formats, one quiet palette.
Tiles come in 12″ × 12″, 24″ × 24″ and 36″ × 36″ formats, installed glue-down and warranted for twenty years of commercial service. The palette runs to flecked neutrals with a few saturated accents — static control that disappears into the architecture.
All twelve static-dissipative colorways — clean whites and mineral grays, with blue and taupe where a floor needs to signal a zone.
The conductive grade carries the same color families — specified where the resistance range must read lower.
Sampling
Full tiles, real colorways.
Full-size tiles in the actual SDT and CVT colorways, delivered to the space with electrical documentation formatted for your spec sections.
02 — Electrotile
Solid vinyl, rated to ground.
Electrotile is solid vinyl tile with an electrical rating. It keeps the durability of the standard range — high resistance to scratches, stains and scuffs, with a no-wax finish that takes the stripping cycle out of the maintenance schedule — and adds a tested path to ground for the rooms that require one.
Up close, the tile reads as familiar flecked vinyl — the static control is built into the tile, not coated on.
Imaging equipment above, a grounded field below — protection for the electronics that never announces itself.
No-wax finish
The surface is the finish — no stripping and recoating cycle, less facility downtime.
Static rated
Meets static dissipative and conductive requirements, by grade.
Glue-down
Direct glue-down installation across all three tile formats.
Warranted
20-year limited commercial warranty.
03 — Where It Serves
Where the equipment sets the spec.
SDT and CVT are specified for healthcare and commercial environments where sensitive electronics run — imaging and diagnostics, operating rooms, laboratories, electronics manufacturing and test floors, data and equipment rooms.
Winnie Palmer Hospital, Orlando — the kind of equipment-dense room where the spec calls for a rated path to ground.
Documentation
The brochure, for the submittal set.
Electrotile’s technical brochure covers construction, electrical performance and the full colorway range — formatted to drop into a spec section.
Static control you can measure — in a floor you’d choose anyway.
04 — SDT or CVT
Dissipative or conductive.
Static dissipative tile drains charge at a controlled rate — the working answer for most electronics-adjacent spaces. Conductive tile offers a lower-resistance path to ground where the electrical tolerance is tightest. The two grades are drawn from the same family of colors, so the choice reads on the meter, not in the room.
The lower-resistance grade, labeled by colorway so the spec stays legible on site.
05 — Documents
Everything the specification needs, on the page.
Technical data, architectural specification, installation, maintenance, warranty and LEED documentation for Electrotile. Each link opens American Biltrite’s current revision of the file itself, in a new tab — so what you download is never out of date.
