Product — Luxury Vinyl Tile
Specified by the wear layer, not the picture.
Every LVT looks convincing in a sample box. What decides whether it still looks like that in year eight is the wear layer above the print film — and the traffic you put on it. Yorkshore carries five LVT lines, from 30 mil commercial workhorses to a 20 mil office specification, and specifies each one to the floor it is actually going on.
01 — Collections
What the range looks like.
A selection from each collection. Colorways are printed films, so screen color is indicative only — confirm against a physical sample before specifying.

02 — The wear layer
One number does most of the work.
LVT is built in layers. A printed film carries the visual; a clear vinyl wear layer sits on top of it and takes the abrasion. Mils measure that clear layer, and nothing else on a data sheet tells you as much about how long the floor will keep its face.
It is also the specification most often traded away late in a project, because the visual is identical across wear layers and the saving is visible on a bid sheet while the consequence is not.
What the mils buy
Thickness of the clear layer over the print. More mils means more abrasion before the pattern begins to wear through — which is why heavy-traffic public space starts at 30 and offices can sit lower.
The visual is a film
Wood and stone looks are printed, then embossed. Two floors can share a pattern and behave nothing alike. Judge the construction, not the photograph.
Glue-down as default
Every construction in this range installs glue-down. It is the commercial default for dimensional stability under rolling loads and temperature swing.
Managed through Yorkshore
Sizes, wear layers and lead times confirmed against the actual manufacturer sheet before it reaches a spec — and installation planned with your own flooring contractor.
The default resilient
Thirty mil under a hospital corridor, twenty under a private office. The same material, specified to the traffic it will actually take.

04 — The process
From wear layer to walkthrough.
Start with the traffic
Tell us what the floor has to survive — corridor, ward, classroom, office. The wear layer follows from that, not from the visual.
See it at full size
Print films read differently at plank scale than in a sample chip. We get full-size pieces in front of you before anything is written down.
Confirm the sheet
Sizes, wear layer and warranty checked against the manufacturer's current documentation, so the specification matches what will actually ship.
Plan the install
Glue-down schedules and subfloor prep planned with your preferred commercial flooring contractor, sequenced to the site schedule.
05 — Documents
Everything the specification needs, on the page.
Technical data, architectural specifications, installation, maintenance, warranty and LEED documentation for each LVT line on this page. Each link opens the manufacturer’s current file in a new tab.
