Manufacturers — Playcore

The project doesn’t end at the front door.

Playcore builds the furniture that carries a project past its own threshold — steel benches, bike racks, and trash receptacles finished in a textured polyethylene coat made for weather and hard public use. For architects and designers detailing parks, campuses, schools, and municipal streetscapes, it is one palette, specified once, across every piece on the site plan.

01 — The case

Built for weather, detailed for people.

Site furnishings fail in predictable ways: coatings chalk, fasteners loosen, and the maintenance file grows. Playcore’s answer is plain steel under textured polyethylene — a thick, plastic-like skin that resists weather and casual abuse — offered in twenty-two colors, so the benches, racks, and receptacles on one site read as a single decision.

01

One skin over every pattern.

Perforated seats, rod benches, cut-steel drums — the same textured-polyethylene coating carries every housing in the line.

02

Steel underneath, rigidity built in.

Plain steel carries the load; the coating keeps the maintenance file thin — no chalking, no repaint cycle.

03

A palette, not a color chart.

Twenty-two colors specified across benches, racks, and receptacles, so the whole site reads as a single decision.

04

Two ways to meet the ground.

Surface-bolted to an existing slab, or set in-ground at the pour — resolved against the civil drawings before anything ships.

02 — Benches

Seating in two languages.

The bench range speaks two languages. Regal is the classic slat profile — with or without a back, in single and double 4×4 configurations for plazas and courtyards. Perforated and UltraLeisure are the punched-steel profiles, lighter in the eye and quicker to shed water. Every bench takes the same coating and the same choice of mount.

The Site Package
One finish schedule carries the whole site — benches, racks, and receptacles in a single palette.

03 — Bike racks

One post, or thirteen bikes.

Cycling amenities are a planning requirement as often as a courtesy. The range runs from a single bollard or post, through hoop and loop racks holding five bikes, to rails that park thirteen — all surface or in-ground mounted, all in the same twenty-two-color palette.

04 — Receptacles

Three capacities, twenty-two colors.

Receptacles come in three capacities — twenty-two, thirty-two, and fifty-five gallons — across housings that run from the Classic cut-steel drum to the lidded Metro. Specified alongside the benches and racks, they close out the site package on one finish schedule.

Planning

Decide the mount before the pour.

In-ground mounts want deciding before the concrete pour; surface mounts want a slab thick enough to bite. Your account executive coordinates mount type, embed depth, and color selection against the civil drawings before anything ships.

Start a Project

Every project starts with a conversation.

One dedicated account executive carries your project from the first site plan to the finished play area — one contact, start to finish.
