Overview
Schönox SL is a cement-based, rapid-drying smoothing and finishing compound for interior floors, installable from a true featheredge up to 6 mm and spot-wise to 20 mm where the old floor meets the new. Mixed at about 1.9 L of water per 4.5 kg sack, it has a pot life of around 20 minutes at 20 °C and is ready for foot traffic and for the covering after about 20 minutes regardless of thickness. Consumption is roughly 1.3 kg/m² per mm.
SL goes over concrete, cement and gypsum substrates, old ceramic tile, water-resistant adhesive residues and wood, and under Schönox moisture mitigation systems. It carries the EMICODE EC1 PLUS R very-low-emission licence, qualifies for LEED EQ 2 low-emitting materials, suits castor wheels to EN 12529 and subfloor heating, and is covered by the Schönox system warranty.
