Terms of service
Last updated: November 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of yorkshore.com, operated by BuildDirect Operations (US) Inc, doing business as Yorkshore ("Yorkshore", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you use the site for an organization, you accept these terms for that organization.
1. What the site is
Yorkshore.com is a commercial flooring catalog and specification resource. It does not sell products online. Product information, sample requests and quote requests are provided to help you evaluate and specify products. A sale happens only under a written quote or order confirmation from Yorkshore, on the terms stated in that document.
2. Technical and product information
- Specifications, test results, certifications, warranties, colors and images come from manufacturers and other sources. We work to keep them accurate, but they can change without notice and may contain errors.
- Colors and textures on screen are approximate. Use physical samples for selection.
- Guides, answers and recommendations on the site are general information. They are not professional design, engineering, code-compliance or installation advice. You are responsible for confirming that a product suits your project, meets the applicable codes, standards and specifications, and is installed and maintained according to the manufacturer's current instructions and warranty.
- Where the current manufacturer data sheet, installation guide or warranty conflicts with the site, the manufacturer document controls.
3. Samples and quotes
- Samples are provided to evaluate a product for a project. We may limit quantities, substitute equivalent samples or decline requests. Samples are free of charge unless we tell you otherwise.
- Quotes are estimates based on the information you give us. They are not binding offers until confirmed in writing by Yorkshore. Pricing, availability and lead times are confirmed at the time of order.
4. Your submissions
When you submit a form, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to share it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law using the site
- interfere with the site's security or operation
- submit false or misleading requests or spam
- impersonate anyone
- upload malicious code
- use the site to collect other people's personal information
6. Automated access, search engines and AI assistants
We welcome search engines and AI search and assistant services that index the site and cite it accurately, as long as they follow our robots.txt file and do not overload the site. Do not scrape the site in bulk to build a competing catalog or database, get around access controls or rate limits, or present our content as your own. We may block automated traffic that harms the site.
7. Intellectual property
The Yorkshore name, logo, site design, text, guides and our own photography belong to Yorkshore or its licensors. Manufacturer names, product names, logos, documents and images belong to their owners and are used with permission or for identification. You may view, download and print pages and technical documents for your own project and specification work, including in project specifications and submittals. Do not otherwise copy, republish or sell site content without our written permission.
8. Third-party links and tools
The site links to manufacturer websites, design tools and videos run by third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
9. Disclaimer
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties about the site and its content, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Product warranties come only from the manufacturer or from a written Yorkshore sales document.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yorkshore is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Yorkshore against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the site.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Seminole County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
13. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version here. Using the site after an update means you accept it.
