Overview
ABMarathon Natural Slate is the most recessive of the three ABMarathon surfaces: a fine riven texture on the same homogeneous vulcanized rubber, with color through the full 3 mm body of the tile. It is supplied only as the 36" × 36" tile, which covers ground quickly across a concourse or a lobby with fewer joints.
The palette is four neutrals, Polished Pewter, Tan, Carriage Grey and Night Sky, chosen to sit beside stone, terrazzo and exposed concrete. It is the surface to put in front of an architect who wants rubber's performance without rubber's signature.
Natural Slate shares the ABMarathon test data: a static coefficient of friction of 0.5 or more to ASTM D2047, a critical radiant flux of 0.45 W/cm² or more to ASTM E648, and no support of microbial growth at 28 days to ASTM G21. The tile is FloorScore certified, Declare Red List Free and covered by a 10-year limited wear warranty.
