Overview
EnviroSTIX Classic is Base King's original pre-applied adhesive system: a pre-cured, solvent-free poly-acrylic adhesive on a cross-directional scrim, machine-applied to the backing of carpet tile, LVT plank, sheet goods or rubber tile before the material ships. On site the installer primes, peels the release paper, places and rolls; there is no trowel, no flash time and no cure window, so rooms return to service as soon as the floor is down.
With two coats of the ES-P acrylic primer the system is rated to 96.0% RH (ASTM F2170) with no surface pH limit, and both adhesive and primer calculate at 0 g/L VOC. Peel resistance is 30 N/25 mm (AFERA 4001). The Classic system has been in the field for more than ten years and carries a 10-year limited warranty when ES-P is used; average lead time is one to two weeks.
