Overview
ES-Barrier is a high-density synthetic rubber sheet, 0.056 in. (1.42 mm) thick at 62 lb/ft³, coated on one side or double-bonded with EnviroSTIX adhesive so it goes down as a moisture layer, an acoustic layer and the bond in one pass. It is rated for slabs reading up to 99% RH, classed as vapor semi-impermeable (Class 2) with 100% resistance to topical liquid, and tested to IIC 66, ΔIIC 22 and STC 63.
The sheet smooths minor floor irregularities, passes a 25,000-cycle durability test and can be used over in-floor heating. The adhesive carries no VOCs or odor, the product is Guardian antimicrobial treated and CRI Green Label Plus certified. Rolls are 54 in. wide by 22 ft or 44 ft. A MAX version is also published; product code BV0340.
