Overview
Sonata is American Biltrite's 20 mil luxury vinyl tile and plank on a 2.5 mm overall gauge. An aluminum oxide wear layer sits over printed wood and stone visuals. It suits rooms with medium to heavy foot traffic, such as offices and rooms that will be refitted with the next tenant, rather than floors that carry carts and beds every day.
The current range is ten colorways: seven wood visuals (Cabin Maple, Estate Oak, European Walnut and Nordic Cherry) and three stone visuals (Cosmo Stonewood, Rustic Slate and Urban Stone). Planks come in 4" × 36", 6" × 48" and 9" × 48"; tiles in 18" × 18" and 12" × 24". The visuals are printed films, so confirm color against a physical sample.
Sonata installs glue-down over a flat, dry, prepared subfloor and shares its installation and maintenance routine with Mirra; where rolling loads run daily, Mirra's 30 mil wear layer is the heavier specification. American Biltrite offers a 10-year commercial and 20-year residential warranty and lists FloorScore certification across its Mirra and Sonata formats.
