Overview

Advantage is the entry point to Yorkshore's engineered oak range: a 6.5 in white oak plank from BuildDirect's core collection, 0.38 in thick with a 1.2 mm real-wood wear layer. Lengths run 15.7 in to 74.8 in, averaging 54.4 in.

Six colorways are stocked: Galiano, Mayne, Cortes, Thurlow, Sea Cloud and Lawhill. Each is wire-brushed and prefinished in low-gloss urethane with microbevel edges, so there is no site sanding or cure time. Wood varies board to board and screen color is indicative only; judge it against a full-size sample before documents close.

The profile is tongue and groove; BuildDirect lists Advantage for below-grade installation and for electric and hydronic radiant heat, with a lifetime residential and 5-year commercial warranty. The thin face suits rooms with lighter use; where traffic is heavier, Westport, Southport and Oak Superior step the wear layer up to 2, 3 and 4 mm.
