Overview
AM-Clad Antimicrobial is a 2.5 mm smooth-satin PVCu wall cladding sheet designed for medical and sterile environments, such as operating theatres and clinical utility rooms. It is the core sheet of the AM-Clad line.
The antimicrobial property is part of the material rather than an applied coating. AM-Clad states that the surface resists the growth of bacteria, fungi and mold, and that it dramatically reduces or eliminates bacterial growth, including dangerous pathogens. It is an easy-clean surface that supports an infection-control cleaning regime; it does not replace one.
Sheets are 4 ft wide in 8, 9 and 10 ft heights, with matching sealants, adhesives, H-divider and edge trims, so the whole wall assembly comes from one system, and seams can be closed with color-matched weld rod. The PVCu material is stated to contain no plasticizers, phthalates or BPAs and to be 100% recyclable.
